Concept inspiration of the Boro
I always loved the idea of using an indigo finish for a sideboard based on the faded, patched and stitched patterns of old Japanese Boro textiles, traditionally worn by humble fishermen.
We developed a stitch pattern from a traditional Japanese Star motif called Asanoha, meaning strength and vitality and printed it on to the deep blue wood veneer to create Anthro's bestselling Boro Star collection. View the full lookbook.
