A mood board from my travels
I bought a mattress tape from a street vendor in a backstreet of Ahmedabad that turned into a feature on my bestselling Anthropologie Grassland chair!
I’ll mix a pattern idea from a mirrored palace ceiling in Jaipur, draw up a design as an embroidery, print it onto a wood veneer that finally becomes a sideboard shape inspired by a tea caddy in Japan.
I love to understand how the hand crafting process is done in its every stage, so will often explore courses in country to learn myself then bend these traditions into something new and unexpected, something considered as a mistake can turn into the most interesting journey.
I think it’s how I combine all these references in an unpredictable fashion that defines my style.
