REWILDING TREEHOUSE PROJECT
My interior concept for Rewildthings was to create a warm, enveloping homely retreat to contrast the sleek modern pods designed by Millar Howard architects.
Each treehouse has its own personality from an element of nature,I used uplifting colours, soft textures of boucle and sheepskin mixed with exquisite floral and geometric printed linens from Flora Soames and Fermoie.
In addition to British furniture and lighting designers Another Country and Pooky.
I designed the super kingsize blackened oak trundle beds in collaboration with furniture maker Anselm Fraser.
I love that this is my own eclectic, decorative style as well as being a very British project.
I was commissioned by Anselm Guise to design the interiors for 6 state of the art Eco Treehouses as part of his extensive rewilding project of 16th century Elmore Court in Gloucestershire
We wanted to create a real feeling of home rather than a series of hotel rooms in the trees.
This is a sanctuary of comfort where you loose yourself in the woods looking over the rewilded wetlands.
Watching the wildlife that have returned to the land from your large outdoor viewing terrace whilst being warmed a firepit or lazing in the outdoor bath,it provides a true slice of heaven.
